Level 3 Courses
Progression from level 2 is either to another level 2 class or to  level 3 Embroidery. Anyone expecting to enter at level 3 without having completed a level 2 course will need to get in touch with Sue Lancaster to discuss previous experience.

City & Guilds 7716-61 Embroidery Certificate (equivalent to AS level)
This is a level 3, two year course, running for 4 hours each week for 30 weeks each year between the beginning of September and the end of June.
Course work consists of major investigations into the elements of design – ‘Line’, ‘Texture’, ‘Shape’, ‘Colour’ and ‘Form’ - a portfolio of notes and samples covering a large range of embroidery techniques and textile processes, and 6 projects that involve the design and making of both functional and non-functional items.  
City & Guilds 7716-64 Embroidery Diploma (equivalent to A2 level)
This is a level 3, two year course, following on from 7716-61, running for 4 hours each week for 30 weeks each year between the beginning of September and the end of June.
Course work consists of a major body of research for individual and original design, 6 projects resulting in functional and non-functional items and research into historical and contemporary British and foreign embroidery.
